North Lindum Hawks U11's very kindly hosted the mighty Whites at Yarborough on a gorgeous Saturday morning. With both teams evenly matched there was never going to be much between them and it turned out that was the case today. Los Blancos started strongly and looked to build on the work done in training whilst making the most of any set piece opportunities. Both teams put on a great advert for girl's football with tough challenges, maximum effort and silky skills in possession, all whilst keeping that important smiles on their faces. Goals for the Whites came from Emily F and Emily H. A special mention must go to Evie, who made her full Griffins debut today. She took the whole occasion in her stride and was terrier-like when winning possession back for her team - congratulations on a great start! Grown-up's player of the match was awarded to Gracie for her excellent positioning, tough tackling and balls forward. Walking away with the coaches player of the match trophy was our goalkeeper Analeise, who made some stunning 'game changing'saves. A brilliant way to spend a Saturday morning, before the whole squad had a ten pin bowling session in the afternoon. Congratulations to Alice, who with the very last bowl, took the title of Griffins bowling Queen 2025.
