Today we traveled to Lincoln United for the final game of the 25/26 season.

We knew this would be a very tough game and so it proved to be. Our Griffins started strongly and for the first 15 minutes created the better chances and kept the pressure on the United defence. Unfortunately Los Blancos couldn’t convert and went on to concede four goals before halftime.

The second half carried on much like the first with the girls backs to the wall and they conceded another three goals. The mighty whites kept pushing despite the hot weather and found the back of the net after 50 minutes with a great finish from Emily F to make the final score 7-1, a well deserved consolation goal.

Parents player of the Match went to Aurora who played multiple positions today and made an impact all over the pitch.

Coaches player of the match went jointly to Kaitlin for her strong defensive display and Evie for her positive forward runs on both wings.
