This morning, Los Blancos made the journey to the coast to play our final match of 2025 against Cleethorpes U12 Girls. With a chance of topping the table at stake, the Whites were asked to bring their A-game and try to finish the year on a high. From the first whistle to the last they all brought intensity, passion, great teamwork and knocked it out of the park. Cleethorpes defended well and were always dangerous on the break, so concentration was key to get the result we so badly wanted. Los Blancos settled really well and through intense pressing without the ball and calm passing and moving with it, we raced into a healthy 7-0 lead at half time. The girls were asked for more during the second half and they didn't disappoint, keeping the flowing football going and continuing a high press. Ending 11-0, with goals from Matilda (2), Rosie, Hammo (3), Emily F (3), Skylar and an extra special scorer in Emelia, our goalkeeper, who took her chance when asked to play a bit of striker. Cleethorpes should get a lot of credit for their hard work and never say die attitude - a great bunch of girls and coaches. Grown-up's player of the match was presented to Rosie for an all action performance, which through sheer
determination brought a great goal. The coaches' player of the match went to all 10 players today, I couldn't split them as they all had storming performances. Thanks, as always, to Brooks & Mayo for your continued support as season sponsor - you should be so proud of your girls today! Merry Christmas and a very happy New Year to all the teams at the U12 level from all the girls at the Griffins Whites!
