Today saw Lincoln Griffins u10s play their third match of the season, and only their third game as a team. From the offset each player put in the effort and that continued throughout the game. If the ball got past one player there would usually be another player there to back them up, all supporting one another and whoever the subs were for each quarter could be heard cheering on their team mates. The game definitely had entertainment with some excellent tackles, a goal line clearance, great saves and some strong attacking football. It’s a joy to see how much the team are improving week on week, and as coaches we look forward to continuing to see the girls enjoy their football and develop further. A special mention to the player of the match today Esme, who is a recent addition to the team but has settled in well and took every opportunity to run at the opposition, showing excellent control of the football and dribbling abilities. Well done again to all the girls today, a very even game and one to take a lot of positives from.
